The Story of Forest Hills Bakery
I’m Eileen Wildermann—a chef, home economics teacher, and lifelong baker. For years, my closest friends and family encouraged me to share my baking beyond my own kitchen. In 2025, I finally took a leap of faith and opened Forest Hills Bakery, right here on the street where I live in Madison, CT.
Baking has always been woven into my life. My two kids love helping in the kitchen, dusted in flour and sneaking chocolate chips when they think I’m not looking. My husband, also a teacher, is my biggest supporter, and our black lab Annie has proudly taken on the role of “shop dog.”
My students often say baking class is the highlight of their week, and that energy fuels everything I do. When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll usually find me on the tennis court, running, or coaching my kids’ teams. I love competition, but I love laughter even more.
At Forest Hills Bakery, I bring that same humor, drive, and heart into every loaf and pastry. This is more than a bakery. It’s a family story, a community project, and a dream finally realized.
